On a Scarlet shield-shaped embroidered device with semi-circular base, 2 1/4 inches (5.72cm) in height and 1 7/8 inches (4.76cm) in width edged with a double 1/8 inch (.32cm) Yellow (outer) and Black (inner) border, a lozenge with elliptical horizontal points throughout, surmounting the black border and shield a 1/8 inch (.32cm) Scarlet barrulet. The beret flash was approved on 29 Mar 2001.
